Management
Governance structure, editorial oversight, and operational administration of Pareng Press.
Governance Framework
Pareng Press operates under the governance framework of Pareng Group Ltd. The governance structure is designed to ensure that the Press maintains the highest standards of editorial integrity, production quality, and institutional accountability.
The governance of Pareng Press is organized across three principal areas: the role of Pareng Group Ltd as the parent company, the editorial oversight function, and the operational administration of the Press.
Role of Pareng Group Ltd
Pareng Group Ltd serves as the parent company of Pareng Press and provides governance oversight, strategic direction, and institutional support. The Group establishes the policies and standards that apply across all subsidiaries, including Pareng Press.
The Group does not intervene in individual editorial decisions made by the Press. Its role is limited to governance matters, including the appointment of senior leadership, the approval of institutional policies, the oversight of financial performance, and the establishment of standards for ethical conduct and professional practice.
The separation between governance oversight and editorial independence is a foundational principle of the relationship between Pareng Group Ltd and Pareng Press.
Organizational Functions
Editorial Oversight
The editorial function is responsible for the assessment, development, and approval of all content published under the Press imprint. Editorial decisions are made on the basis of merit, accuracy, relevance, and adherence to established standards.
Production Supervision
The production function is responsible for design, typesetting, manufacturing, and quality control of all publications. Production supervision ensures the finished product meets quality standards and timelines.
Operational Administration
Operational administration encompasses day-to-day management including financial administration, human resources, technology infrastructure, distribution logistics, and stakeholder communications.
Functional Responsibilities
Editorial Function
The editorial team operates independently of the parent company and is solely responsible for decisions regarding the content, quality, and suitability of publications. The editorial oversight function encompasses the review of manuscript submissions, the management of the editorial process, the enforcement of editorial standards, and the final approval of publications for release.
Production Function
The production team works in coordination with the editorial team to ensure that the design and layout of each publication accurately reflect the content and intent of the work. The team manages relationships with external print and manufacturing partners and oversees the preparation of digital editions.
Operations Function
Operational administration is conducted in accordance with the policies established by Pareng Group Ltd and the internal procedures of the Press. The operational team reports to the leadership of the Press and, through established reporting lines, to the governance structures of the parent company.
