07.01 — Rights

Author Rights

Pareng Press recognizes the intellectual property rights of its authors and is committed to ensuring that the terms of publication are fair, transparent, and clearly defined. The rights and obligations of both the author and the Press are set out in the publishing agreement executed between the parties prior to publication.

Authors retain moral rights in their work at all times, including the right to be identified as the author of the work and the right to object to derogatory treatment of the work. The specific economic rights granted to the Press are defined in the publishing agreement and are subject to the terms agreed between the parties.

07.02 — Agreements

Publishing Agreements

All publications issued under the Pareng Press imprint are governed by a publishing agreement executed between the author (or the author's authorized representative) and the Press. The publishing agreement sets out the rights and obligations of each party, including the scope of the rights granted, the territories covered, the formats authorized, the royalty terms, and the duration of the agreement.

Publishing agreements are prepared by the Press and provided to the author for review prior to execution. Authors are encouraged to seek independent legal advice before signing a publishing agreement. The Press will not proceed with the production or distribution of any work until a fully executed publishing agreement is in place.

The terms of each publishing agreement are confidential between the parties and are not disclosed to third parties except as required by law or with the written consent of both parties.
